I'm proud to be on their Advisory Board and to help with education of their important work.
WATCH THE SHORT FILM WE PRODUCED THAT CELEBRATES THE VALUES OF THE CARR FAMILY CABIN IN THE OCALA NAT. FORESTOur film illustrates the iconic eco-cultural values of the "Carr Family Cabin in the Florida Scrub" in the Ocala Nat. Forest. We produced it via our non-profit film group, Equinox. It's been useful in helping to raise funds for restoration of the cabin, and to generally raise awareness of its values. An dedicated group of folks, including former students, family, and USFS personnel, are now meeting to figure the best ways the restored cabin can be interpreted for the public, including students. In this way, it will imitate the literary-heritage sites of Aldo Leopold's "Shack" and Thoreau's cabin.
